  1. Loved the idea of seducing the creeps out of the woodwork! What a wonderful show! How long did it take to shoot the set?

    • Five or ten minutes. The tree is outside my screen porch! Now, Madhu, you know I don’t venture far from the nest! ๐Ÿ™‚ I don’t really like the bark on the Nachez myrtles because when it peels off it leaves an ugly red trunk. This tree is not of my childhood. The ones there were light colored, smooth and slick under the bark. Maybe this one will develop that color and texture later. Thanks! I haven’t forgotten you, Madhu…

  3. A lovely stripping indeed. There is a lot to like in these images, George. Great textures, wonderful warm light and color, and, as always, very interesting and successful compositions.

  4. I don’t know what happened, but I lost you for a while there! Last I knew you were going off to the weekend market to look for a lotus to put in a pot outside your front door:) I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to look for you, so it’s fitting I’ve now got a lot of catching up to do!
Starting with the lovely and lissome Nachez White, seducing us with her springtime act:) Leopard barks – my favourites, and she’s a beauty.

  6. So, you know at first I was shocked, right? I thought, “Now, dear ol’ G is off her rocker; posting about strippers now!”

Thanks for the laugh, and the pretty pictures. I enjoyed them both.

    • Sorry, Carl. In the early Seventies, Dean and I and a bunch of salesmen went to a bar on Printer’s Alley in Nashville, Tennessee. There was a “pit” where strippers performed inside a rail. I was the only girl at the rail with the crush of men. I looked at the guy next to me and asked, “Isn’t there a law against this?” He laughed. I guess there wasn’t .. in Nashville, anyway.

  7. In all my forty something years of living – this is the first time I see a show like this! ๐Ÿ˜‰
(I don’t see your posts on my Reader anymore ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Good thing I have you on my blogroll “Peeps I Follow” or I’d be lost looking for you).

    • That’s odd, Rosy. I changed my URL a month or so ago. I think WP has dumped me! ๐Ÿ™‚ Discrimination against the elderly. That’s what it is! I’ll burn my bra on the White House Lawn!! (At my age, I think I’ll just toss it over the fence!) Thanks for telling me. Yep, this is the new 21st century version…

    • The closest I ever got to pole dancing was on the manual end of a big hoe dragging gravel out of a chute on an installation job. That and stripping old paint off antique longleaf pine furniture! I can’t decide which job is worse, mine or Myrtle’s! ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • These are Nachez crepe myrtles. The trunk is very red and unnatural looking under the bark. It is a new variety that doesn’t mildew. My grandmother’s were pale-colored and slick under the bark. These are hardy and produce big clusters of white blooms. My daughter chose them for the replacement landscaping when we moved here. I hope I didn’t disappoint too many guys with the title. ๐Ÿ˜‰ It was a joke. Thank you for always visiting me, Jonel.

    • Nia! I see a long list of posts in my email. I have to come over and check them out. You are too fast for me! You are going to have to collect all of these posts into a book. I took Boy to a local animal shelter this week to register for a week of caring for animals. We visited with two of the cutest kittens you ever saw! I thought about the cats of Istanbul while we were playing with them! You are forever my cat lady! Thank you.

    • Well, Naomi! I had no idea you were so accomplished. I knew you wrote really well. I found you accidentally at your website: http://www.naomibaltuck.com/.
What an interesting life you have made for yourself! I have to come back to find your books now! Ah, when you don’t swim beneath the surface, George, you miss the beauty of the depths. I am so happy that you come here, Naomi. I remember the first post I saw of yours. I think you shot the pictures in a cemetery in Italy. There were these photos of a crypt that astounded me. I have to find it again. I thought about it when I was posting the Angel Sisters. Thanks you, Naomi.

      • Dear George, you are too sweet! I am just happy that we connected. I remember being drawn to your wonderfully quirky blog title, and thinking, “This has GOT to be good!” At first I thought,”What a talented photographer!” More and more you are revealing what an amazing writer you are, what a unique voice and astute perception you have. Now I am waiting for the novel that I know you have inside you.

    • Ha Ha. Several young people were posting about tags and how to get more traffic to their blogs. I can’t repeat the tags here, but they were funny. So, I decided to see if it works. My comment can’t be repeated either, but I figured if I used it, the creeps would come out of the woodwork! I’m sorry. I just couldn’t resist. Glad you got a smile out of it. I’m just BAD. I try to be the cookie-baking granny, but I can only manage it for so long! ๐Ÿ™‚
